Ravvi Sharma,

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. True, technology does drive us crazy sometimes!

Freedom from internet too!

Enjoyed your blog's positiveness.  At least then all members of a family will sit together to share a meal!

Its presently a Technocrazy world!

Raj Sir,

Thanks for reading and the compliments! Frankly, in any religion the ends-of-days-are-here theories sound funny to me. I think these theories are another way to make humans feel guilty about committing sins. It is probably primitive too, especially if any religion says the non-believers (good or not) will all go to hell and they (as believers) will ascend to heaven.

Riverine,

Thanks for reading and commenting! Converting to Mayanism occured to me too, but certain practices (as I have mentioned in the blog) pertaining to human sacrifices freaked me out!  But unlike other religions they don't say their followers will be spared, that's the beauty of it!

What? All our countless Gods are not Indian? Will have to get enlightened about this from Narensomu! Hmm...Interesting thought!

Hi aninmagi - truly a very incisive and thorough blog/essay. I enjoyed the way you challenge the reader  to think and value your lack  of simplistic and shoddy thinking. I'm definitely coming back here often!
Of course the reason this end-of-world syndrome is so popular is because people usually associte it with their  partcicular God(s) returnintg to punish the evil and throw them into hell and oh, me - I'm going to Heaven! Can't wait!
This kind of thinking is thinking about religion at the most self-centred and primitive level, don't you agree?

Hey, am converting to Mayanism right away! And in just 5 years I would be an Avadhuta...almost...

BTW, do you know that Indian gods ain't Indian? If you don't ask Narensomu for further details

Narensomu,

Good one about SRK, and yeah, cave hockey sounds good too  Glad to hear you are not a cricket hater, but overkill? What is cricket overkill?

animagi

Am not a cricket hater but someone who watched "Lagaan" twice in theatres-to me thats a record.
Am a cricket -overkill hater.Hope atleast cave cricket is free of fixing details...
SRK says cave hockey can be played and he'd still be the Hero-what do you think?

Dr. Kartha,

Thanks for reading and commenting! Good that the disclaimer calmed you! I am careful enough to stay clear of controversy!  True, I can't wait for the d-day myself!

Dear Animagi,
First I read the blog caption. My worry-mercury shot up like a rocket on fire.
Then by the grace of God, I saw your disclaimer, I  was relieved and the rocket returned to earth. Thank you.
I fully agree with Melody: the end of the world would be an experience of the out of the world!!!!
Kartha
